I'm going to need a lot more time to process this weekend before I write about it in depth, if indeed I do.  Suffice it to say that my traveling companions are the best, Drea was great, the company and food rocked, and I want to do it again SOON.

I'm also really inspired to sew more garb.  However, this weekend confirmed for me that my judgement of historical costume construction is good enough to tackle two completely out of period research projects and possibly write them up for publication.  Keep your fingers crossed that my inspiration sticks around to allow my health to catch up---I'm really exhausted.

It was so nice to have you here with us. I hope you are able to fully share all the wonderful information that you got from this with Raphealla and others, and if you need help with that please do not hesitate to let me know. I am so looking forward to chatting with you more about the Tailors Shop ideas we both have and would love to conspire with you to make it happen at perhaps both events.

Ooooo, research project! Even if it's out of period, I hope you share with us what you're planning to do.

I'm working on two dresses circa 1912, one a copy of a Fortuny Delphos dress at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle, and the other based on the designs of Callot Soeurs.

Is it one of the gloriously pleated Fortuny's? I love those!

Yep, that's it. I've made one copy, but the fabric is wrong. This time, I'm going to pleat and dye it my self.

When I first glanced at the post title, I read it as "DreaM - Con". But from what I have heard, that also fits.

If anyone can bring a big project to fruition, it is YOU.
