I just found out that one of the two people I respect the most and have known the longest in the SCA has maybe a month to live. This isn't unexpected, I've known about the cancer for some time, but, as I've found out earlier this year, expecting someone to go and actually having it happen are two different things. I'm trying to figure out exactly how to tell this man everything that knowing him has meant to me and what a difference he's made in my life. I don't even know how to start.

I didn't even know him that well but he's a big part of my SCA experience. He's really a legend in my mind and always will be.
