Damn house elves..........

Ok, so both Evaria and I have a weird form of poltergiest that follows us around. Around here we refer to it/them as the House Elves. (The house is also haunted, but that's a different thing) Most of the time, the House Elves are beneficial or only slightly mischievous, but every once in a while they get really annoying and I have to have a rant. Today, I have not been able to find anything I have looked for, including things I just set down. I've actually given up trying to get my current project finished today, because the dye I just put downstairs by the washer is nowhere to be found. Let's see, in no particular order, the things that have gone missing today have included: sewing machine buttonhole foot, 2 sets of buttons, the velvet I'm making two of the wedding doublets out of, my keys, my wallet, a book I was just looking at last night, and the dye. I give up.
