Writer's Block: Brush with stardom

In a former life, part of my job was spent working with celebrities, as well as others less well known. Some of the celebrities were a delight to work with, others less so. There were only one or two that were real idiots. Pretty much like the general public. It was interesting and in some cases a lot of fun, but it was just part of the job.
On the other hand, I have had the opportunity to meet with people who have changed my life, and thank them. Like the guitarist whose playing inspired me to pick up my dad's guitar and learn to play when I was 8, or the author whose book I read at a particular crossroad. Then, there was the author and humorist who helped make my youngest daughter's 16th birthday special.
No, I'm not a "stand in line and squeal at famous people" person, but some of them have sure been interesting to meet.
