Early today, at about 5:40am, there was a house fire at the home of a long-time BAO person Alexandria (MKA Judy). She, her husband Thomas, and her three daughters (Ages 20, 14, and 12) were taken to the hospital. While Thomas and the daughters were treated for smoke-inhalation, sadly Alexandria wasn't so lucky. She died at the scene.

Her ex-husband and father of the girls is in the military and stationed elsewhere currently. I believe Red Cross is helping to contact him and arrange for emergency family leave.

The immediate needs are taken care of but these people, who have lost more than most of us can possibly imagine, are going to need help with salvage, acquiring clothing, and most everything else. As I understand it, they have places to stay as of now. I'm in contact with close friends of the family, who have asked for their privacy in this time of need. I have volunteered to be the point-of-contact for any and all donations that can be rounded up by us, the SCA community.

Donations can be brought here to my home, at (contact me privately for address) Tacoma, Washington, and I will arrange to deliver these items to the family. Also, a more detailed list of what they might need will be put forth as soon as I get it. Further, any information that the family has regarding funeral arrangements will be put on these lists when it becomes available.

I have a 12-year-old, and some of her clothes she does not wear any more. Is the 12-year-old kind of thin and tall? I can bring some of the clothes to KA&S, or arrange a drop off during the week. Let me know.

Also may be able to round-up some adult sized male clothing (my husband's size)
