My Day Weds.

carmenbeaudryStarted out fairly well, puttered in the sewing room until about 1, then went up to Seattle. Picked up A., then went to Ikea to buy many gloriously pink storage boxes and magazine holders for the sewing room. Ate yummy Swedish meatballs at Ikea. Then wasted assorted bits of time until time for Rapier practice. Madrone rapier practice is under the freeway, in the Park-n-Ride at 65th and Ravenna. This becomes important because during my very first fight, I rushed forward during an attack, stepped on the reflective painted arrow on the pavement, had my foot shoot out from under me, and did a truly spectacular prat fall flat on my back, banging my head pretty well. I had a headache and slight dizziness for long enough that I didn't go back to fighting, although I'm fine today, aside from sore muscles.
So, I spent the rest of the practice watching other people fight, which sucks. I did get to drop by and give Evaria part of her b-day prezzie, so that was goodness. When I got home, I stayed up way too late and assembled pink boxes and sorted magazines into their new pink holders. There is much pinkness and it makes me happy.
I'm hoping to get the rest of the boxes assembled, and more of the sewing room cleaned today. Also, Gifted Oyster is supposed to be home any minute to do yard work, so it may be possible to find the front walk and door under the jungle after today.
