countess_e 's journal, and I liked it well enough to put it here, too.
Thanksgiving has so many memories for me: family, non-family, dinners with my ex's family, dinners with Wade's family. This year we're cooking a very non-traditional dinner (leg of lamb, etc.) on Thurs., with the very traditional Turkey dinner to follow on Fri. at a friend's house. In one way this is a milestone for me: This is the first year the girls will be "coming home" for Thanksgiving. Oh, they've both been away for a while, but we've gone to either grandparents' houses for the holidays. This year both Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. Wow, I guess I am a grown up.
