Scent reverie
Apr. 28th, 2010 02:20 pmImagine, if you will, a top note of spearmint. Not the nasty toothpaste scent, but like the one released when you pass a bed of mint and brush your hand over it. Immediately under that, the best dark Jamaican rum with tabac blonde following close behind. The base is elusive, a dry, woodsy note, not as warm as sandalwood nor as resiny as cedar, but very lovely.
That was what the gentleman sitting next to me on the bus smelled like. I reckon in his case it was a combination of cologne, chewing gum and pipe tobacco, but I think it would make a lovely perfume, or room scent.
