Well, the Mouse is dead. For those of you who don't know, the Mouse is our 1981 Honda Civic Wagon. It belonged to a friend of ours before we got it, so we've known the car a long time. It was a good Mouse, had over 320,000 miles on it and still got great gas mileage. It stopped on Gwalchgwyn Friday and wouldn't start again, so we had it towed to the mechanic and I got the bad news today. The frame has finally rusted through.
So, we're looking for a good commuter car cheap, and someone who wants to buy a 2 month old carburetor, since I'm pulling that out of the car.

Maybe it's silly, but I'm mourning the passing of Mouse, just as I have all my other cars I liked (there were a few, like the Yellow Demon Toyota From Hell, whose passing brought great rejoicing). Ok, so I tend to anthropormophise inanimate objects, but I've had them behave in ways that made me positive they had personalities. How else do you explain my 1978 Honda Civic Wagon, Firousi, literally jumping sideways out of the way of a truck (all the spectators said that, too, not just me). Or the way my '62 T-bird used to start cold in the winter and take 15 minutes to warm up for everyone but me. Used to drive my ex crazy.

Well, since I'm down to one car, I've got to figure out how I'm going to get to the mechanic's and pull the carb. with all the rest of the stuff I've got to do this weekend.
