Members of Quilters of South Carolina have created one-of-a-kind bras for Breast Cancer Awareness. The exhibit consists of 49 original works of art which are unique, entertaining, humorous, and beautiful to make the public aware of breast cancer, to memorialize those lost to the disease, and to honor survivors.

I was one of the folks who spent a lot of time, effort and money to try to get her back in shape. Yes, she's probably past saving, but that wasn't always so, and a little bit of anyone in authority caring for the history of Seattle could have easily saved her.

I wrote a song for her years ago, during a more hopeful time, but that's not what's going through my head right now. Instead, I give you this one. Farewell, Wawona. I'll never forget you.
